The Role

You will be the first point of contact for advice and guidance to managers across the business on all aspects of people policies, practices and procedures. You will also work to ensure the function delivers a great customer experience for all employees with an efficient process to manage queries and requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer the end-to-end recruitment process for direct and agencies hires
  • Coordinate the new starter process with IT and deliver HR onboarding for new employees
  • Manage the HR division of the employee query system, ensuring timely triage of queries and responses to employees
  • Manage probationary periods, ensuring this is completed on time by managers
  • Monitor and ensure sickness records are maintained and cases escalated to the HR Manager with referrals to Occupational Health as required
  • Manage the leaver process including paperwork to acknowledge resignations and conducting exit interviews
  • Provide post-employment and mortgage references
  • Ensure company policies are up to date, keeping employees informed of changes
  • Maintain HR files and records in accordance with data protection requirements
  • Liaise with 3rd parties to manage employee benefits provision including pensions, life insurance and private health insurance
  • Work closely with payroll and HR providers to prepare monthly payroll documentation
  • Maintain the HR Information System with regular quality checks to ensure data is accurate
  • Manage the immigration process to ensure Actual Experience complies with all requirements to maintain visa sponsorship status
  • Manage the administration of share option grants and reporting to HMRC
  • Assist with HR project work as required

Skills and Experience Profile

  • Ideally, CIPD qualified or studying towards qualification
  • Previous HR experience at an advisory level
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with individuals at all levels of the company
  • Experience working with UK immigration procedures
  • A consultative and customer-focused approach
  • Pro-active with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • PC literate with good Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Able to work under pressure within a fast-paced changing environment
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible depending on priorities
  • Attention to detail, and the ability to follow sometimes lengthy processes and procedures from start to finish
  • Good at setting up systems and keeping them up to date
  • Some experience/willingness to develop people management skills
